Virden Indoor Rodeo & Wild West Daze 2017

The Virden Indoor Rodeo & Wild West Daze is back August 17th to 20th. The Rodeo kicks off Thursday August 17th with a community celebration BBQ followed by downtown events from 5 pm to 9 pm. Rodeo action Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. The weekend also features 3D Barrel Racing, High School Rodeo, Parade, demolition derby & much more! Virden is back in the Communities in Bloom program!! The program is committed to fostering civic pride and environmental responsibility and beautification through community involvement. The Canada 150 category is a one time non-competitive edition to provide communities with the opportunity to showcase achievements in greening your community. Businesses can get involved by picking up garbage/debris in the front/back of business, ensure property is clean and neat, keep sidewalks and laneways clean, weed control in the front/back of business, tidy store fronts/windows and maintain a floral display to enhance the storefront. Melita&District Chamber Multiculturalism Day
